Wokingham Bowls Club Open Day.

WOKINGHAM Bowling Club held their annual open day at the Reading Road Green.
The club was open to members of the public, young, old and in between to come along and try the game of bowls from 10:00 until 14:00 and many took the opportunity to have a go.  Coaches and fellow members were on hand to make everyone welcome and to try the game of bowls.
“It was a great success with 37 members of the public turning up with everyone enjoying themselves trying their hand at this wonderful game,” said Wokingham Bowls Club member Colin Livingstone.
“Some wandered inside for a drink and a seat and others checked out the facilities and many just enjoyed asking questions and listening to how we enjoy ourselves on the green.
“We had all ages represented, and parents asking how to involve youngsters in the game. Currently, 26 people have booked for some follow on coaching which simply takes it to the next level.
“We hope to encourage even more to take up the offer of some coaching.”
