On Monday, January 15, Ian Swankie, one of the Arts Society Wokingham’s favourite lecturers, will wind the clock back to the 17th century and take members on an armchair tour of some of Wren’s magnificent structures including City Churches, the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich and, of course, his greatest masterpiece St Paul’s Cathedral.
Guests are cordially invited to join members for this fascinating illustrated talk in the lecture theatre at King’s Academy Binfield.
There is a well-lit car park and the school’s lecture theatre has excellent facilities including a large single central screen and comfortable tiered seating.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are available from 7pm and the talk starts at 7.45pm and will finish by 9pm.
Please email memsectheartssocietywham@gmail.com to register your interest.
