Wokingham Town booked its place in the next round of this season’s Emirates FA Cup with a 3-2 win over Western League side Brislington under the Friday night lights at Lowther Road.
A crowd of almost 400 saw an entertaining match, with Sean Moore grabbing the winning goal in the final minute of the match.
Ty Moorcroft scored two for the Sumas, his first after just four minutes that narrowly missed out on being the first goal in this season’s competition.
As well as pocketing £1,125 in prize money, the team will now face another lucrative home match, this time against Larkhall Athletic.
Due to sharing the Emmbrook Sports and Social Club facility with Emmbrook and Bearwood cricket club, that match is set to kick-off at 3pm on Sunday, August 17.
Also into the next round are Reading City.
Second half goals on Tuesday night from Ellis Cowd and Stefan Brown saw them overcome Cirencester Town 2-0 after Saturday’s goalless draw.
The Cityzens will now face a home tie against Didcot Town in the next round.
Elsewhere, table-topping Woodley United maintained their excellent start to the Combined Counties League Division One season with a convincing 5-0 win over Rising Ballers Kensington.
Troy Williams grabbed a hat-trick, with Sam Garofalo and Jaden Odama grabbing a goal each.
