Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault on a police officer in Woodley.
The incident occurred at around 4.50pm yesterday (Tuesday, November 28) in Tippings Lane.
The officer came across a vehicle where the occupants were acting suspiciously, so wanted to search the occupants for drugs.
The offender was briefly detained but after an altercation they made off. The officer sustained minor injuries.
Investigating officer, PC Rory Wells, based at Loddon Valley Police station, said: “This is a concerning incident which involved one of our officers being assaulted.
“Thankfully they only sustained minor injuries in the incident.
“I would like to appeal to anybody in the area who may have any camera footage, witnessed this or any information regarding this incident, to please get in touch.
