Outline plans for 45 homes on field approved (Wokingham app 232026)
A plan for 45 homes and green space has been given the go-ahead on a field at Amen Corner, right on the border with Bracknell and in Wokingham Borough’s jurisdiction.
Wilson Developments applied on outline to build a mix of detached and terraced homes and full permission for a suitable area of natural green space (SANG).
The project has since been approved by Wokingham Borough Council as the developers have signed a section 106 legal agreement.
While full permission has been given for the SANG, detailed applications will be required for the housing element.
TV screens for oldest church in Bracknell (Bracknell app 25/00431/OBS)
St Michael and St Mary Magdalene is Bracknell’s oldest church, predating the foundation of the town, opening in 1867.
Run by the Church of England, the pastoral team now want to install TV screens at the entrance to the sanctuary.
Although TVs are already used in the church, the pastoral team have argued they may present a trip hazard and are currently obscuring chapels to the side of the altar.
The team have therefore applied to install the two TVs on the sanctuary archway.

Details of the pedestrian routes in the development have just been approved.

The owners of a home in Laud Way, Wescott, have won permission to make changes to the front and add features to their house.
The house, although it is detached, has a connected garage with the neighbouring property.
The owner has recently won permission to convert the garage into habitable accommodation to provide a ground-floor shower toilet.
A new frontage to the house will provide a new entrance and more space to the existing lounge.
