A BOROUGH choir will entertain with a medley of much-loved songs from well-known films.
Wokingham Choral Society’s Summer Concert is called Saturday Night at the Movies.
It will include a range of musical styles, from the passion of Lachrymosa, Mozart’s Requiem, which features in the film Amadeus, to the bright sounds of family musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and the stirring tune of Jerusalem featured in Chariots of Fire.
“It’s going to be a fun, nostalgic foot-tapping journey through the greatest of cinema tunes,” said Chris Dunning.
“With a professional soprano soloist backed by more than 80 voices of the choir, we will dance through the night.”
Other songs include melodies from West Side Story, My Fair Lady and Guys and Dolls, including Sit down you’re Rocking the Boat.
Wokingham Choral Society’s Summer Concert can be heard at All Saints Church, Wokingham, on Saturday, June 20 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £15, or £5 for students and under 18s.
