The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics has revealed that the average house price in Wokingham stood at £487,000 in March 2026, down by 1.9% during the previous twelve months.
In contrast, private rents in Wokingham rose to an average of £1,481 in April 2026, an annual increase of 3.7% from £1,428 in April 2025. This was higher than the rise in the South East (3.0%) over the year.
The provisional average price paid by first-time buyers was £380,000 in March 2026. This was lower than the March 2025 average of £388,000.
For homes bought with a mortgage, the average house price was £497,000 in March 2026. This was 1.8% lower than the average of £506,000 in March 2025.

In Wokingham, the average rent for terraced properties rose by 4.1%, while for detached properties, it increased by 3.1%.
