THIEVES have been targeting high-value keyless cars in the Bracknell and Wokingham areas, warn Thames Valley Police.
Particular targets are Range Rovers and BMWs.
To help keep vehicles safe, the police encourage owners to fit a steering wheel lock.
Drivers should check their car has been locked before walking away, as some thieves can use electronic devices to jam the signal from the key fob.
The key fob should be kept safe and away from windows and doors when at home. They should be kept in a signal-blocking pouch or case, or secure metal container to avoid thieves latching on to its signal.
And with the holiday season in mind, police urge residents to keep an eye on neighbours homes if they are away.
Anyone who sees anything suspicious should call 101, or 999 in an emergency, or log on to: www.thamesvalley.police.uk
