ITEMS that would otherwise be sent to landfill, can now be taken to a new repair cafe in the borough.
Earley Repair Cafe, set up by Earley Town Council, is available to mend domestic appliances, bikes, clothes, tools, laptops, clocks, suitcases, bags, and toys.
Repairs are carried out for free, but the group values donations, to help cover running costs.
They are keen to hear from volunteers willing to help as repairers, receptionists and servers.
The cafe is open the morning of the second Sunday of each month at Centrepoint Community Centre next to Lower Earley Library.
The next event will take place there on Sunday, October 13, from 10am until 1pm.
