A YOUNG Wokingham resident has been giving back to the Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital centre that cared for her.
Isabella Waistell, 10, and her family have been busy raising funds for the Spires Cleft Centre.
Born with a cleft palate, Isabella is grateful for the care and support she received from the Spires team, and passionate about giving back to the centre – in particular the Robins Ward where she convalesced.
With support from her family she set about creating her own acts of kindness bags for patients and for the Spires team.
Launching a GoFundMe page, she helped distribute the bags throughout her local community.
Isabella and her family then visited the hospital to deliver her thoughtful gifts and goodies.
Isabella has become known at the centre for her kindness and generosity, inspiring donations from family, friends, her school, and members of the wider community.
“She is always keen to choose items that will benefit patients and the team, and has included reward games, colouring pens, and sensory toys in her kindness bags,” said a Spire Centre representative.
“She was especially delighted to select some ladybird magnets for Mr Swan’s notice board at the centre.
“Isabella and her family’s continued support, generosity, and community spirit are greatly appreciated by everyone here at the Spires Cleft Centre.
“We’d like to say thank you for making such a positive difference.”
